The net long position of raw sugar speculation increased sharply, and the strongest frost in Brazil

According to the latest report of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), as of the week of July 27, the net long positions of raw sugar of hedge funds and large speculators increased by 28518 hands compared with the previous week to a nearly three-month high of 270987 hands. The new wave of frost in Brazil triggered concerns about the further reduction of sugarcane production in the country, and the raw sugar price once hit the highest level since the end of February.
The total position increased by 33408 hands to 954073 hands compared with the previous week.
